Since its inauguration in 1980, a biennial International School on Condensed Matter Physics (ISCMP) has been organized by the Bulgarian Institute of Solid State Physics and its collaborators. Attendance has averaged more than 120 participants from many countries, and the Proceedings have been issued as a special volume by major international publishers.
